TRADITION AND CONNECTEDNESS

A family business with a long tradition

A family business lives from solidarity and trust. In recent decades, the Teriete family has developed the Dwersteg Distillery into a leading company for organically produced spirits and liqueurs.

At the historical location in Steinfurt-Borghorst, the company has its production, product development, bottling and distribution, all under one roof.

1882

Ludwig Dwersteg founded the ‘Spirituosen and Liqueurherstellungsbetrieb’ on the 1st July 1882 in Borghorst “Ludwig Dwersteg Jr”.

He was born the fourth son of the brewer Ludwig Dwersteg, coming from one of the oldest families in Borghorst. As a trained merchant, distiller and brewer, he started his operation in the distillery of his brother Caspar.
